The Software Systems Specialist III designs, implements, integrates and supports various mainframe, mid-frame, distributed, web and PC operating systems and ancillary products. Responsibilities Specific job responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: S/he formulates system scope and objectives, analyzes user hardware and software needs and recommends upgrades or new purchases. S/he is involved in all phases of implementation and performs software installations and documents system software.
Job holder must have thorough knowledge of the company's organizations technology practices, standards and procedures and implementing heterogenous, open systems. Job holder must be familiar with designing and executing major software installations and key issues related to implementing a security system. S/he must also be customer-service oriented, able to build cooperative relationships with people and have effective oral and written communication skills. Job holder must be an experienced problem solver who thinks creatively about solutions and adapts easily to changing priorities. Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physical Science) or MCA Minimum 2 - 4 years experience required. S/he must have prior experience with producing detail-level functional requirement documentation and selecting the optimal testing environment for specific applications. S/he must also be experienced with coordinating all parties affected by putting new applications into production. S/he must be experienced at addressing a variety of technical (hardware, software or application) problems.
